On Thursday (5/25), the post will be recognizing those Eagan High School seniors that have made military commitments after graduation this year.  This is the first time that such an event will be held for Eagan students, and will occur in the High School Commons (Cafeteria) at 5:00 pm.

There are eleven students that have made commitments and two of them have already completed Basic Training.
As they are eligible to join the Legion, we have already provided those two students with complimentary 1-year memberships in our post. We will offer the same to the other nine students, once they have completed Basic Training.

Our newly formed Color Guard will be debuting at this event. There will be short speeches by a few local politicians and these students will also be talking about themselves. Minnesota 3rd District American Legion Commander, Mike Maxa, is the key-note speaker.

At the end of the program, there will be a couple of presentations to these students, followed by refreshments.

We encourage Post 594 members to attend this event to support these future veterans…again, this is an Eagan-first event.
