On March 7 2019, Eagan American Legion Post 594 was awarded a $800 grant from the Eagan Foundation. The Post was fortunate to have Sue Register (Volunteer Services Coordinator – MN Veterans Home – Hastings), Karen Yavis (Membership Team Lead – Eagan Sam’s Club), and Mike Sipper (City of Eagan Supervisor, Government Buildings) speak at this award presentation. They shared some of the post’s 2018 actions focused on the American Legion pillars of Americanism and Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation. Many thanks for their support and participation! It was also announced at this event that the post will be expanding its current U.S. Flag donation program with the City of Eagan to encompass all city buildings. The members of Post 594 send along their added thanks to the Eagan Foundation for their generous donation, which will assist the post on its continued community outreach efforts.
