The Daniel R. Olsen American Legion Post 594 prepares breakfast for the guests at the Fisher House in Minneapolis, MN the second Friday of every month.  It is our way of thanking and supporting all currently active, retired, veterans and families of all military branches for their sacrifice to this Great Nation.

Post 594 members recently participated at the Fisher House making breakfast.

The Fisher House provides a free, temporary “home away from home” for military and veteran families while their loved ones are receiving treatment at a military or VA hospital. These homes offer a sense of normalcy and ease the burden on families by providing lodging, meals, laundry and kitchen area at no cost.

Fisher House operates as a public-private partnership, the Fisher House Foundation donates the houses to DOD and VA medical facilities and then private donors support the operational costs.
