On Saturday, Aug 3rd, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 594 of Eagan hosted their first BBQ at the MN Veterans Home in Hastings. Members from the Daniel R. Olsen American Legion Post 594 and the Post’s Legion Riders teamed with the Unit to cook and serve over 400 burgers and the same number of brats to veteran residents, their families, and the staff at the home. Thanks to those Eagan American Legion Family members for giving up their Saturday to help brighten this lunchtime of the residents at Dakota County’s only Veterans Home. Also, a big thank you to Sue Register, volunteer coordinator at the MN Veterans Home, for helping us set this event up and make it a success.
