The Daniel R. Olsen Eagan American Legion Post 594 in cooperation with the Eagan Police and Fire Departments held a 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony at the Eagan Community Center Plaza on Sunday evening. Color Guard units from the Eagan American Legion, Police and Fire Departments participated in the Ceremony. Post Vice Commander Pat Graham emceed the ceremony, Eagan High School singer Maria Peterson sang the National Anthem, the Eagan Girl Scouts and Cub Scout Den led the Pledge of Allegiance, and Eagan High School singer Elle Eisenberg led the audience participation in singing God Bless America.
The Ceremony honored those who died or were injured during the 9-11, 2001 event, advocated how we can venerate this horrific event by performing acts of service in our communities, and respecting the dedicated work our local Police, Fire and First Responders that they continue to carry out every day.
